Arctic heard that bullet wiz on by them to her left. She knew it was close but didn't know how close it was to ending one of them. She looked over at her friends seeing no harm had come to them. She'd jump a little looking at the helmet as she gulped seeing it roll until stopping. Her gaze then noticed beams of magical energy suddenly appearing about her. She looked towards the battle seeing crimson coming towards them in a barrage. She slid back with her rifle as her magic focused popped like a bubble as her rifle collapsed to the floor near her as she held her hooves over her head. She could fire a gun, yeah she got trained to shoot. But to be suppressed like this was horrible and by a weapon she knew little about. Maybe in the magazine somewhere.. 'Why am I thinking of magazines now!' She thought loudly opening her eyes and pushed herself away from the edge of the crater seeing the crimson beams flying by in a instant.

When the red beams halted suddenly she dared to even look over the edge, but that was quickly knocked from her head feeling pain and pressure at her center mass keeping her pinned to the dirt. Opening her eyes she looked up gritting her teeth as she saw the armored ponies and the rotating barrel of a very large multi-barreled weapon aimed right at her. Her heart beating now as she looked up to the visor of the pony that had her down to the ground on her stomach. After hearing her friends reply she simply nodded from her position feeling any slight movement or a glow.. or even spark of her horn could set them off. 'Still, yellow. Thats good?' She thought.

The rangers would glance between each other, looking over the three ponies stepped in mud, powerless, helpless and likely not really much of a threat. They could see their mediocre weaponry, the basic barding and the meager supplies they seemed to be in possession of and overall, it was pathetic. Pistols, a plinker rifle and a couple of batons that were more like walking sticks then actual weapons. The stable dwellers wouldn't have lasted long against the rangers if they had turned. But, as the spinning of the gun began to slow, the motor winding down the red colored rangers would slowly but surely remove their hooves from the three. "Stand up real slow like. No funny business." The head of the group said with her weapons still trained on Spar and Silver. "A chicken wing huh? You a dashite kid?" One of them asked as they moved to the side of their leader.

"Listen up you three. I'm Paladin Black Eye. I don't much like the idea of letting a couple of stable dwellers run around willynilly, but we're not in the business of stripping you down and taking your gear. You did just help us win that battle, be it in a stupid manner and we're obligated to return the favor. Slightly. So. What we're gonna do is. You're going into the crater, stripping the traitors down of their gear, then you walk away. If you pilfer some ammo, or some better small caliber weapons, fine. But you try to make off with the power armor, or the heavy weapons, we'll blow you three to pieces before you get more than a few feet. Am I understood?" She snapped coldly as she looked towards the three, motioning towards the with her weapons again before waiting for their answer. It seemed that she wasn't in the mood for games.

Spark was not going to be stupid enough to try and book it or fight, this was a situation non of them could ever fight out of. How pathetic they may have all looked, fresh faces, clear and their manes neatly trimmed no doubt from their time down in the Stable just over a few hours ago now. Sparks, feeling the gun lifted away from her made her let out a sigh of relief, at least they weren't going to be dead. She listened though and slowly got to her hooves, keeping her head low and leaving her weapon down on the floor where she was laid. Hearing Dashite though, looking to their Pegasus friend, why did waste landers keep calling him chicken? and wait in the hey was a Dashite? First thoughts were of Rainbow Dash but Sparks thought it sounded like an insult in some way.

The booming voice of the Paladin though make her squeak in surprise, looking towards them, standing to attention almost like a soldier would to an NCO. She was thankful that they weren't going to be stripped of their weapons and gear, last thing they wanted to do is be weaponless in an already nasty place. Only so many hours out of the stable and they had seen some of the worst. Listening again though she gulped, looking down to the crater, the blood shed, the limbs here and there. "u..understood" she simply said, looking to her friends. She gulped a little and lifted up her pipbuck, who knows what crater that was, was it a megaspell impact? Who knew.

With shaky hooves, Sparks begun to slowly edge her way down the crater's side. She gulped again, the stench of death, copper, filling her nose was intoxicating. Though with that weaponry that could easily be pointed at them, she moved up to one of the... less blown up bodies and meekly began to scavenge around.

Silver gulps, suddenly feeling very vulnerable on the ground. No funny business? He's not had fun since he left the stable! This trip sucks! Having the barrels and hooves lifted from his back, does make him sigh. His keeps his ears perked and they flick as the armored ponies start to talk, the voice booming through the external speaker.

"C-Chicken wing?" He squeaks, trembling on the ground, his wings ruffling at his side. "I-I'm not a Dashite!" He yells, thought not knowing what a 'dashite' is. "P-Please, I'm not a Dashite..." He gulps again, awaiting his face. After not hearing (or feeling) anything, he carefully looks up. Seeing the heavily armored ponies, he shudders and his ears fold back. He nods as he's talked two, hearing they are tasked with scavenging the corpses, taking off the armors and weapons. "Y-Yes sir." Silver replies meekly before getting up on shaky legs and carefully sliding down into the crater. He almost throws up as he notices the limbs and body parts strewn across the battlefield. Seeing Sparky pick out the more... whole corpses, Silver takes it on himself to start on the limbs laying about.

Arctic was a bit surprised the Ranger was going to allow them to do this, but then again them being there changed the battle. She gave a little nods as she got to her hooves. She'd look at them then at her rifle on the ground as she lifted it slowly then placed it on her back. "Y-yes, I understand.." She says a little shooken up making her way down to the fallen Steel Rangers in the crater, beginning her search. Most or all of the Steel Rangers had heavy weapons? Grenade Launchers, Missile Launcher, Mini-guns, and Mini-gun lasers? She huffed as she wished to take them but didn't want to see the after life trying, she knew of one stallion who surely would love to have his hooves on them. She thought a moment then searched out the mini-guns on the rangers to check the ammo type they used. After looking she'd find out they had inventory on each and began to search as much she could. She'd then blink and check on her little bird friend making sure it was alright.. She opening her pack flap and peaked in, "..Do hope you are alright." She says looking down at it then gave it a nuzzle and care if needed.

Then after checking up on it she moved on taking anything she could use, mostly rifles, even if they were energy types. She might not be good at energy weapons, but how hard was it to fire them? Really, they seemed the same, aim, and shoot. She thought as she came across that plasma weaponry didn't seem like a heavy weapon from its size.. She didn't see what it did to one of the AJ's Rangers. She also figured out that most of this stuff was damaged in the fight, of course firing explosive weaponry at one does that she come to realize. Going from body to body she felt sick of the gore as she went over and around blood and meat.

If these Rangers had E.F.S she would surely be a friendly bar. Arctic did a lot of standing looking down at the gore as her magic took what she could off them. Back in medical she saw blood.. but nothing this extreme and it showed on her face in horror. She hoped to find them at peace.. well the ones that lost most of their limbs off. She'd stare down at one of the intact ranger as she wondered. 'How do you take it off the helmet..' She'd attempt it hoping to not get blown up for doing this, not like she was walking off with it just yet. Once off she simply try to put it on. Nope that wasn't going to happen, horn remember? She wondered what they saw.. Maybe some modification could be done to allow a horn in? After looking at it she noticed holotags around the pony's neck, setting the helmet down by the pony's head. She'd lift it up and look at the tags. She'd then check for a pulse out of curiosity as her hoof was pressed against its neck feeling.

The only thing Arctic would feel as she did this was the goopy squish of broken bones and torn muscles, thin trails of blood oozing from the Ranger's mouth as she touched his neck; the chocolate brown stallion gazing lifelessly into the wasteland, crimson staining the bodyglove under the armor he wore. And as she looked into the helmet, she would find a bloodstain covering the visor from within. Which dripped onto her face as she fiddled with it. The rangers on the crater edge did tense slightly as the port of the missile tube opened on the side of his battle saddle, but he didn't fire. He just watched. A Stable Dweller had likely never seen power armor before. So they would forgive some curiosity. "Bulk rounds for every holotag you bring up." He shouted down over the speaker in his helmet, pointing to the little tag she was holding.

Despite this her searching would come up with the following. 50+ rounds of armor piercing 5mm ammo, which if they were to ever find a minigun would give them exactly a 1 1/2 firing time before running dry. If however, they ever did manage to find one. Which in this twisted landscape wasn't likely. Not without great risk and trade. She would also find a number of broken magical energy pistols, most of which were without power cells, or broken to a point where there were few if any usable parts. But, perhaps Spark Plug could jerry rig something together with enough of them. The rangers didn't seem to care if they did. She would also find another two holotags among the remains and bodies, and the plasma pistol that Arctic had found would be in semi working condition, though still in need of ammo. What did a plasma weapon even use for ammo one would wonder. But as she removed the little bird's egg from her pouch a small little chirp would echo in her ear, the eggshell glowing with gentle green energy as the bird's tiny beak poked out at the hole in the top of the egg. It chirped again, pulling back and settling down once more inside the egg, though the faint glow of it's body was still evident. It seemed to understand they were in a dangerous situation So it would stay silent for now.

Silver would find in his searching another couple of those grenade rounds like that he had in his bag. Though it may be best to just leave them be for the time being. He would also find a pair of holotags, these ones dyed in red from both gore and shards of bone flickering as the cracked little screen shimmered. He would also find a number of rounds laying around the ground. Most notably the 5mm AP ammo. But as well as a few 5mm Incendiary ammo. The rangers seriously loved their 5mm ammo it seemed. He would also find a number of broken and discarded grenade rifles. About two or three of them among the wreckage of a ranger's empty shell; the green glowing ooze that was once a pony bubbling around the armor itself. He could take the broken rifle parts. As the rangers had little desire to salvage the broken remains of the weapons. Maybe like with Arctic's steadily growing collection of magical energy pistols he could get Sparks to repair them into something working.

Sparky would not find much, save a few strange looking battery like items laying around. When selected with her pipbuck, the small batteries being called micro magic cells. What they were used for, well she could only guess it was for a magic energy weapon. But until she popped one in to test it she could only speculate. Still, she also found a holotag herself, 10 caps, and a large .50 anti material rifle round . Though given the indent on the firing cap and the round remaining in the breech it seemed to have been a dud. A nice little souvenir if she wanted to take it.

In total, 4 holotags, 70 5mm rounds(50AP, 20 incendiary,), 20 magic energy cells, 6 magical energy pistols, 1 plasma pistol, 3 broken grenade rifles, 15 9mm rounds, 15 caps between Sparks and Silver, and a fair bit of scrap and spare parts for whatever they needed. Once they had finished with their scavenging, and the Rangers started coming down the crater to collect the armor of both color types, the paladin in charge would glance between the three. "We don't normally deal with outsiders. But, hand over the tags and we'll give you some of our bulk ammo. It's lower grade than most ammo, but there's more of it. And it'll put less wear on your weapons." She didn't seem all too open to negotiations. "We can spare 20 magic energy cells, 3 plasma batteries and a case of 150 9mm rounds in exchange for the tags. Sound fair to you?" Then she waited for their collective response.

Searching through corpses was not something she had learned to enjoy but is was either this or face the wrath of these rangers that looked upon them. They made her feel so small compared to them but she had to admit, she wouldn't mind getting her hooves on some of that armour one day. Thoughts of the future aside though, she got to work scavenging from the dead.

Finding the weird batteries though, she gave them a good look over, her tech savvy brain going over the details, trying to work out what they did, well other than power something. What though? She peered over to Arctic's find and spotted one of the energy weapons. She looked back to the battery and almost gave out a cheer of success, such a nerd. She begun to scoop up all of the batteries and quickly shoved them into her saddle bag, she was secretly hoping that Arctic did give her the energy weapons to look over. If they found somewhere to bed down for the night, Sparks was going to have a fun night.. well as fun as one can have fixing things. The huge round of .50 though she lifted it up in front of her eyes and examined it, there was no way to fix it but she had an idea for it. All she needed was a small necklace chain. Of course, she wouldn't take the chain from the holotags, she wasn't that horrid, and the one found, she placed down upon the rock until she was done scavenging.

Once done she held the holotag within her magic whilst her findings that they could keep were nicely stored within her saddlebags. Standing amongst the dead though she gasped slightly and looked around her, what a sight to behold. Warriors, all fallen in hulks of metal. For some reason she felt different about scavenging from these ponies. She was still a little conflicted to say the least. Flash backs to her posters within her room. The Brave Rangers, fighting against Zebra tyranny, fighting to save Equestria from harm. Still, the alive rangers wanted them to do so and they had little choice and in some way, Sparks was just relieved to find some more weapons and ammo

Listening to the Paladin, she nodded and levitated the tag towards her. The promise of even more ammo was promising and it wasn't like they could negotiate. Even if they wanted to, Sparks was not the most charismatic or skilled in the art of barter. "S..Sounds good to me. I, I have one question. Forgive me for it but.. how do you wear that armour?"

Silver watches from the corner of his eyes, seeing Sparky starting to rummages around the corpses. With a sigh, he almost throws up as the gory visuals and horrible stench of molten pony-flesh almost overwhelms him. He chokes and coughs, recovering soon after. "Oh good goddesses," He mutters, using a hoof to cover his mouth and the other one to go through the corpses. Soon he finds a few grenade rounds. He hoof touches them, biting his bottom lip as he contemplates whether or not to take them with him. He's reminded that he shouldn't as he looks around the carnage causes by those exact grenades.

He gulps before putting the grenades aside, gently. He finds a pair of holotags, caked in red blood. His eyes narrow, trying to read the tags. Unable to read them, he puts them aside, having heard what the Rangers said. A few 5mm rounds are found after, creating a separate pile for them.

Having scavenged that fallen pony, he walks to the next time, realizing too late it's the pony that got turned into ooze. The green goop quickly overwhelms him and he throws up the last of his breakfast, hacking and coughing as he does so. "O-Oh goddess..." After wiping his muzzle, he turns back the remains of the pony. He quickly strips the armor of any useful parts, finding a few broken rifle parts. He holds them up, looking at them like he knows what they belong too. After a few seconds he realizes they are rifle parts. He puts them apart in another pile; maybe he's allowed to bring those with him. Arctic is very good with those weapons after all!

After messing with that helmet she lifted the blood from her face with her magic and let it drop to the floor. She'd advert her eyes from the body as that was a sight that wasn't going to leave her mind anytime soon, along with her first murder, kill? They didn't seem sane, if they didn't kill those raiders they would be their next meal at that fireplace. Moving on..

Arctic really didn't know what weapon would go to the 5mm AP rounds. None of them had anything that chambered in that caliber, but she'd take the 5mm rounds. She of course took the Plasma pistol looking it over seeing it wasn't in the best conditions. She slipped it away along with the broken or damaged energy/magical looking pistols. Letting out a sigh she moved on lifting up what holotages she was able to find, which was 3. Once done she went over to Spark looking to what she had found. "We'll take that offer, we have no need for them." She states as she looked on over to her friends. Looking on over to the Paladin she gives a nod, "Here." She'd lift out the 3 holotags she found and float them over before the Paladin. As for the 4th holotag she'd let Spark hoof that over when she felt.

She'd check her E.F.S and look around at the yellow bars as she wanted to move on. Just need to get the talisman and go home.. Get it, go home. She'd idly fix her mane with her magic and place that black pin she had gotten into her tail. She in total had 6 bobby pins on her. 3 pins were being used for her mane/tail. The one in her tail would be hidden inside with a little flick of her tail.

The paladin said nothing through the visor of the armor, glaring at the mare who had asked about the power armor. It wasn't an offensive question, but there were things that a stable dweller wouldn't be able to understand, let alone be told of. Sparks was on thin ice there and by the time that the paladin answered, there was a clear hint of irritation behind the voice. "None of your business." She snapped, snatching the tags from the mare and kicking the box of ammo towards her and Arctic. "Suggest you idiots move along. We don't have time nor the resources to babysit you three. So get going." She then waved the three away. "Stay away from Vanhoover. There's nothing really there but a bunch of radiation cannibal raiders and old StableTech buildings. Goodluck." She snapped again and turned away from the trio with a stomp of her metal hooves. "Move 'em out Rangers! We got armor to repair and supplies to haul!" And then just like that, the group of red colored Rangers began to march.

And leaving the three alone then the rangers would soon enough vanish from sight. Leaving them with their gotten supplies, and the distant sound of a thunderstorm beginning to roll across the landscape. Luckily for them, there were a few still standing bombed out cargo containers they could take shelter in. Which given that the sun was beginning to set, and the thunder was growing louder, they should do so quickly. But hey! The got a load of new ammo and Sparks had some things to tinker with. They should be quick to bunk down for a potentially long night, recover their strength and build a small fire. Lest the cold rain soak them to the bone.
